In 1993, Jim Unger started Allen Roy Builders. A third generation builder, he drew from his experience from custom building in Pittsburgh and production building in the metropolitan D.C. area to give Homeowners the best of both worlds.
Jim’s grandfather Morris and his father Ellis Unger started Unger construction Company in Pittsburgh, PA after World War II.
Jim drew from their experience in land development, apartment construction, townhouses, and single family custom homes, and brought it to the Maryland suburbs where he built more than a thousand homes for production builders for 12 years.
From this experience, Allen Roy Builders was formed to take advantage of all aspects of construction to be able to give Homeowners affordable pricing with the highest expertise.
